Come join So What Else during a volunteer work day at Forested Permaculture Farm!
Volunteers will get to learn about and put to practice chemical-free permaculture techniques, tour the facility whilst greeting the resident egg-laying ducks and learn about why it is important to grow sustainable food forests.
Plan to do moderate lifting throughout the day. Work duties will involve manual labor - like shoveling mulch, planting plants and laying mulch. The mulch layer is a key factor in chemical-free weed maintenance. Come learn how Forested runs a successful permaculture practice without the use of harmful and unnecessary chemicals!
SSL available for students 14 & up.
Volunteers are strongly urged to wear comfortable, sturdy shoes & to bring a water bottle for refilling on the farm.
Lunch will be provided for volunteers. Carpool arrangement are encouraged if possible.
